KIRSCHBAUM STRINGS & GRIPS
Since its founding in 1987, the string manufacturer Kirschbaum Strings & Grips has established a stable market position both nationally and internationally with steadily growing sales figures. While in the early years production was mainly focused on supplying well-known racket manufacturers, the Kirschbaum strings & grips brand name subsequently established itself as a guarantee for high-quality tennis strings, especially monofilament polyester strings (PET). To this end, the company developed and manufactured its own patents and machines for surface finishing in cooperation with tennis players and institutes.
The Kirschbaum family has managed the company since its foundation. Company founder Horst J. Kirschbaum started out with his wife, Ute Kirschbaum, and a few employees. In 1991, their daughter Sandra Kirschbaum joined the company after completing her studies and quickly expanded the international sales network worldwide in addition to the German sales network.
Sandra’s husband, Thomas M. Kirschbaum-Wellach, also joined the company. Since the death of Horst J. Kirschbaum in 2010, Sandra Kirschbaum has been running the company as sole managing director. And who knows, maybe one of their two children will successfully continue the company into its third generation in the future.
